Sizes 4, 6, and 10 are in stock
3 years has passed since I made Lumber Jane but today she returns. This coat is designed for the casual adventurer; a tailored look in the shoulders and sleeves and a bust dart give it a feminine silhouette and the built-in ease leaves room for a light weight sweater sweater. The giant outside pockets are great for sketch books, reading books, and all the treasures you collect while out in the world while the hidden inside pockets keep your keys, phone and money nice and safe. The hood is giant and cute with a leather boot lace that holds it up and ties nicely in a bow under your chin. The antiqued copper snaps are noteworthy for their aesthetic and function. I adore this coat for its versatility but I mostly love it because I can go to the cafe, farmers market and museum all in the same day and feel good about the way I look all the while.
The last round of Lumber Janes were a hit, I received some wonderful letters from ladies that purchased this coat, here are some things they had to say:
Just wanted to let you know that like everyone else, I love my Lumber Jane and have worn it every day this week! The twill is such a perfect weight...it's not too hot for a day like today, but does a great job keeping out the wind, and it is so soft that Magnus likes rubbing up against it. I also love the huge pockets; they have spoiled me for all other jackets!
I received the most gorgeous coat in the mail yesterday! The Lumber Jane is even more stunning in real-life. I adore everything about the coat--especially the buttons, leather cord, and detail floral trim on the inner lining. Even though it's getting warm outside, I just could not resist the Lumber Jane You do such good work!
I have a favorite coat now. Lumber Jane greatly exceeded my expectations. It is such a fine coat, with consideration put into every detail. As a product designer, the care in the coat construction is just thrilling, it really is impeccable. The look and proportions of the jacket are just amazing, I really love everything about it. I appreciated the letter detailing the process and those involved, adding authenticity and another story on top of the made-in-SF, Small Business, Female owned ones! This coat will be cherished. The fit was perfect, was worried that it would be tight in shoulders/sleeves/ armpits, but it's not a problem at all, I have room for small weight fluctuations too. Can't wait to see winter coat line, saving up for one now!
So fun to hear!
